  1. Has South32 been issued with a final compliance notice in respect of violations of environmental laws at the Metalloys plant? If so, what does the notice require of South32, and have these directives been complied with?
  2. What is the status of the criminal case instituted against South32 for violations of environmental laws at the Metalloys plant?
  3. What was the amount of the fine issued to the Metalloys operation on 22 July 2016? What was the violation that triggered the issuing of the fine?
  4. Have any of South32’s operations been inspected by the DEA, DWS, DMR, and/or provincial or municipal authorities for any other air quality, water and/or environmental compliance issues in the past financial year?  If so, what were the findings of those inspections?
  5. In relation to these other inspections, have any of South32’s operations been issued with any warning letters, pre-compliance notices, compliance notices, pre-directives or directives in terms of NEMA in the past financial year?
  6. In relation to these inspections, have any of South32’s operations been issued with any warning letters, notices, pre-directives or directives in terms of the NWA in the past financial year?
